Q: Can my cards be printed right to the edge?

A: Yes, but… Printing all the way to the edge of the card is sometimes difficult to do. If edge-to-edge printing is required, consider using lighter colors near the edges, rather than say, a dark solid blue all the way to the card edge. Variable colors also produce better results. If the card will be laminated with the 0.6mil or 1mil patch, we strongly recommend non edge-to-edge card designs. The lamination patch is slightly smaller overall than the CR-80 card, and so an edge-to-edge card design will not be completly covered.
Cards can be printed "over the edge" using the Fargo HDP 600 card printer. (This is available through ID's Now!) The HDP 600 excells with cards using photographic backgrounds, such as school IDs with a photograph of the school as the background.
