November 2002

ID Magic is retired

Oak Tree Data, Inc. began serving the badge and ID system industry in the mid 1990s. At that time we felt that none of the software offerings available had the right features or had the maturity we desired. We chose to create our own software package to fill the void. ID Magic has served hundreds of customers well in the years since then.

As the industry has matured so has available badge and ID software applications. As feature rich applications have become available and matured the need for us to continue investing the development time necessary to keep the ID Magic feature set on a par with them has declined.

For this reason we are ending the life of the ID Magic software product. We will continue to support our customers who are still using it. However over time our ability to support it will decline. We therefore urge you to consider plans to upgrade to one of the software products we are offering.

To facilitate and encourage this transition we are offering our ID Magic customers a trade-in for the new software. The trade-in amount will depend upon which software package you replace it with. Please contact us and we will be glad to provide a quote.

We are pleased to offer these high quality applications and will support them just as diligently as we supported ID Magic.
